In the 1950s and 1960s, Tieleman Transport carried out transports for one of its main customers, Morres Meubelen, a well-known furniture company from Hulst in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. At that time, Tieleman already played an important role in the delivery of furniture to the homes of the customers. This was back in the days when transporting large furniture used to prove challenging.

As the fleet grew, more and more trucks had to use the ferry service for destinations in the southwest of the Netherlands and even farther north. Using the ferry required good planning, as trucks were dependent on sailing times and weather conditions, which could sometimes cause delays. Until 2003, this was a period that many drivers have fond memories of.
